Next Bachelerotte Australia named, and it’s a familiar face

Ten has announced its next Bachelorette Australia and it’s … drumroll, please …

Brooke Blurton. She’s a Bachie regular, having appeared on the infamous Honey Badger season, then Bachelor in Paradise.

She ditched the Badger towards the end of the show because her heart wasn’t in it, and some say she was his fave, thus leading to the excruciating nil-all draw at the final rose ceremony.

But Brooke says she left because Badger confessed he was not going to pick anyone.

This will be Ten’s first Indigenous Bachie lead and the first bisexual lead. For years Ten has been desperately trying to get a bisexual pairing on the show, via Alex Nation, Elora or Meghan.
Many of us tuned out of the last season of the reality TV show – I had to Google just to see who the last Bachelorette was. The sisters – remember them?

Will you be watching this time round?

  1. I vaguely remember Brooke and the travesty of the Honey Badger’s season.

Hasn’t the franchise worn out it’s welcome yet? I mean, haven’t we figured out that it’s all bunk? The only thing I can recall from the two sisters’ series is that one of them had already broken up, within about two days of the finish of filming.

  2. So are we getting a ladies and gents fighting for her? Not a fan of her, don’t think she genuine.

  4. I have fond memories of Brooke. She was treated shamefully by HB but left with dignity.
I know they are looking for new twists to keep the franchise interesting but I think they have jumped the shark.
